Email configuration

SSL encryption (a secure connection)

This configuration is recommended to every person who intensively uses their email account with a client software (which means they do not check the email via WWW using the so-called WebMail) and appreciate security and confidentiality of their correspondence.

• Email address: [alias]@yourdomain

Incoming mail (POP3 protocol):

• server name: www.webproject.pl
• port number: 995
• encryption: TLS

Incoming mail (IMAP protocol):

• server name: www.webproject.pl
• port number: 993
• encryption: TLS

Outgoing (SMTP):

• server name: www.webproject.pl
• port number: 465
• encryption: TLS
• authorization: server requires authorization

Important

• The details in the square brackets are those received from the administrator.
• Replace the placeholder 'yourdomain' with the actual one, which is the part after the @ character in your email address, e.g. if your address looks like this: john.unicorn@adrem.pl, your domain is: adrem.pl
• To enable more than one person to use the account simultaneously, we recommend to configure the retention of messages on the server in every POP3 client (an example). Otherwise the POP3 client will remove every email from the server immediately after receiving it by a user.
• Please remember to configure a date of removing old emails, so the account will not overflow (an example).

Email via WWW (WebMail)

The email via WWW is recommended for the users who do not use their accounts too often, need to check the email on a random computer, or are uninterested in taking time to configure an email client. An additional benefit of using the email via www is the fact that all data, e.g. the correspondence history, address book and so on, are stored on an internet server, which takes care of their security.

Important

• Replace the placeholder 'yourdomain' with the actual one, which is the part after the @ character in your email address, e.g. if your address looks like this: john.unicorn@adrem.pl, your domain is: adrem.pl
• After typing in the given address in the browser, you will be automatically redirected to https://www.webproject.pl/poczta
• The connection with the website is encrypted, which means that no internet user is able to intercept your password. The redirection described above is a normal behaviour.
